4th of july weekend

Just documentin’ the weekend.

FRIDAY: Caitlin, Paige, & I attempted to go to this mysterious new FUBAR place, but we got there so late that the cover charge was $10.  Needless to say, we did not go in.  But we did get to peek in and it was not as cool as I imagined (even the big light wall) .. any place with billiards automatically gets branded as lame in my mind.  So instead, we wandered around trying to find a less expensive club, but everything was 21+ or completely dead on the inside (Spank).  I think the highlight of our night was when we were approached by some females “Do you have time to hear about the gospel?”  Sure, why not.  Since our night wasn’t going anywhere, we kind of let them talk to us.  I asked some questions about why they believe what they do, but I didn’t get answers that satisfied me.  THEN they wanted to pray with us.  Normally, this would be our cue to exit, but we humored them and prayed right there in the middle of downtown Gainesville on a Friday night at midnight.  After this, we gathered that was the peak of our night and walked back.  But before we retreated home, we decided to get Taco Bell.  The Taco Bell on University was booming at this point, so we waited for like 10 minutes.  When we finally reached the order menu, we did not see a speaker box and arrived at the conclusion that they did not have one and we had to order at the window.  To our great displeasure, just as we were passing by the order menu, we hear a voice coming from an invisible source say “May I take your order?”.  Feeling foolish, but not discouraged, we assumed that we would be able to order at the window and everything would be fine.  However, when we reached the window, the woman rejected us immediately because “the line is too long”.  So all of that time wasted for a big old nothing!  Stupid Taco Bell Nazi.  Little did she know, we got our Taco Bell the next night, and she was not there to thwart us!

Saturday: Caitlin and I went to Lake Wauberg in the afternoon, which was fun, minus it being so hot out that we were forced to go shin deep in the scary murky water.  After realizing that we were not swimming in the yucky/frighteningly opaque green water, we went to the pool on campus because my apartment complex’s pool literally looks like it contains the same water as Lake Wauberg right now and is therefore closed.  But I think we both got a shade darker on the skin.  Yay!
Later: Really fun blacklight party with highlighter tattoos courtesy of myself and Chris!  Everyone looks like Avatar people in the pictures, super epic!  Yayyy.  And I got to meet cute bunnies!  AND.  At the end of the night, we waited in another monstrous Taco Bell line, but were successful, and the guys that ordered got two 12 packs of Tacos.  TWENTYFOUR tacos! And for some reason we got our share of them for free.  Then as we stuffed our little cheeks with tacos, (at this point it is 4 am) we watched the most ridiculous movie ever about New Zealanders that were being plagued by zombie sheep, and when the people got bit by these zombie sheep (if they survived and were not eaten alive first) they also morphed into zombie sheep.  This transformation was super creepy, but also strangely funny.  Dark humor.

Sunday: I can’t remember what happened during the day… grocery shopping?  Yesss.  Fun.  Then we went to a birthday party and played some quarters and some flip cup!  I think flip cup is my game of choice.  And we discussed Harry Potter with people that do not follow Harry Potter, and one guy kept wanting to be quizzed on Harry Potter trivia, when he’s only seen the first two movies and never touched any of the books.  Meanwhile, Caitlin and I are like “we play Harry Potter scene it and obliterate everyone.  We ask each other HP trivia q’s for fun on a regular basis.”  Thank goodness Cynthia isn’t embarrassed of me :)

Monday:  Actual 4th of July.. watched Are Your Afraid of the Dark all day & then went to Harry’s for dinner with Caitlin & Paige.  Second burger this week!  BURGERSSSSSS!  No fireworks, though.  Too far away, too little time, too lazy.

I think that’s it.  Hopefully I didn’t forget anything importante.  Now I tired.  I’ll be sleepy at work tomorrow.  Waahhhhh.

hello, hello

i do exist. and i have plenty of spare time to write on here now, so I might as well.  I have all these ideas for what to do with myself during all my free time but somehow I end up doing none of them?  And instead I watch Family Guy or Dexter or some movie I randomly felt like watching on a whim.

Feeling sooooooo uncreative.  Like an uncreative waste of space.  Blahhh.  Here all all these creative things I want to do, and sound great in theory, but they have not happened yet:

-Take photos with digital camera, experimenting with getting the highest quality photos possible by messing around with the settings.

-Draw/doodle/paint in these “dummy” books I got from work!  The paper is kinda shiny, so not the best for drawing/painting, but oh well.

-Make a fun audio track in audacity, mess with auto-tuning, manipulate songs from my itunes, etc.

-Download flash and make fun flash things.  Funny little gifs, probably of bunnies and such.

-Make a stop motion video.

But instead I just loaf.  I think I need to wait for a good idea, which will then motivate me to do one of the above.  Yeah!  Hopefully inspiration strikes soon to save me from my monotony!
